5148859022_6b6de62917_zTGIAS! In case you don’t know what that means: Thank God it’s almost September! I’m so looking forward to paying off my furniture loan this month and being free of it forever. It will sure make things easier come October.

Hoping September will be a good month. I don’t have any big things planned for the month, but I have been hanging out with my local friends a lot more lately and it can get expensive after a while. Luckily, the guys sometimes pay for our drinks when we go out 🙂 Gotta love being a girl!

Here is my budget plan for September:

CategoryMonthly Total
DIFFERENCE-$0.59
Charity$10.00
EF$20.00
Morgage$852.28
House Repairs$15.00
City Bill$125.00
Gas$15.56
Cable$78.19
Internet$51.87
Phone$102.76
Food$120.00
Car Fuel$60.00
Car Repairs$15.00
Car Insurance$93.44
Clothes and Hair$40.00
Pets$40.00
Household$30.00
Personal$30.00
Crossfit$80.00
Cleaning$72.00
Debt$577.95
TOTAL$2,429.05
INCOME$2,428.46

Not many changes again this month, in fact only about $.10 of changes. After I get my furniture loan paid off, I plan to move some money around and increase my savings rate and give myself a little more money to live off of, but the majority of the furniture loan payment will be rolled toward my next target: CC #4. This card should be gone well before the end of the year and I’m hoping to get it gone sooner rather than later. Eliminating a payment of almost $150/month and putting most it toward my snowball will help to really get things rolling! (See what I did there? Snowball, rolling? I’m so funny!)

Anyhow, here’s to September!

  1. TGIAS Indeed! Gosh I love September! $150 will do wonders to speed up your snowball! It’ll feel so good to have your furniture loan paid off!

My September goals include 1) Not completely blowing my budget on vacation; 2) Getting my food and training ramped up for a 5k run at the end of September; and 3) trying to get back on track with food planning and hopefully cut back on overall spending!

    1. I’m joining a Paleo challenge at my gym in September, so that may have a bit of an effect on my food spending, but we’ll just have to wait and see how it goes…

  2. Looks good! I’m hoping to scale back a bit on food as we’ve been a bit more indulgent in August than normal. Not too worried though 🙂 I may need to get some new winter clothing, as mine is all looking a bit worn. We’ll see!

    1. Nicola, I’m afraid my food spending may be going up in September, and it may put me over budget, but we’ll have to wait and see how that plays out I guess.

    1. Thanks Miss M! I can’t wait to be done with the furniture loan. It will sure help my cashflow each month too.

  3. Haha I loved how you mention the perks of being a girl (getting your drinks paid for) Whenever I go out, I rarely get my drinks paid for, and whenever they are paid for, I feel guilty! Haha.

  4. yay September! Its going to be an expensive month for me because it seems like most of the birthdays are around this time for us! Also, the holidays are almost here

    1. Yeah, my little bro’s b-day was this week and my mom’s is the first week of September, so that adds up. I hope you’ve started saving for holiday gift giving!

    1. I love fall too! Can’t wait for pumpkin scented things and foods, plus all the lovely fall colors. They are my fave!

    1. That’s a great idea Hayley. It’s good to go through and try to get lower rates occasionally. A couple of mine have creeped up a dollar or two since the beginning of the year, but nothing too bad.
