It’s time already for my online income report for March. March is the 9th month since I started freelancing last summer. I can’t believe how quickly time has gone since then.

I’m loving all my freelance work so far and I’ve been working hard to continue expanding and growing my business so I can quit my FT job in the future. If you know someone in need of a writer, VA, blog manager, advertising management help, or social media management help, be sure to send them my way. :)

March was a great income month for my freelancing business and part of it is due to me getting a couple of raises from my current clients. I was very excited to be able to earn more just because they like my work so much! This helps my bottom line too.

My online income for March 2015: $2,131.00

Here is a breakdown of how I earned my money:

VA/Blog Management Services – $965.00

Writing – $1,060.00

Advertising on SHNM – $100.00

Other – $6.00

I beat my income goal for March by $931 which is awesome!! This is my highest income month yet.

As always, you need to know that I don’t count my online income until the month it gets deposited into my account, so this is from some work at the end of February through about mid-March. I have made some more since then, but it will be included on my next report since it didn’t hit my account until April 1st (or later).

Remember, that my online income has not yet been taxed, which means that about 30% of what I make is going to be taken by Uncle Sam, and another portion of my income will be used for expenses, like internet, computer repairs, and PayPal fees. I also decided to use a portion of my “profits” to pay for my site re-design. Additionally, I’m saving some of my income to be used for FINCON15!

While I’m enjoying my online work, I’m certainly no pro at blogging or at making money online, but if I can get started you can too! If you have any questions about how to get started blogging, freelancing, or about my online income don’t hesitate to contact me! I promise that I will do my best to answer your questions and if I can’t I will point you to someone who can!

I’m going to set my April income goal at $1,000! This is a little bit less than my March goal because a few of my March month-end payments came in soon enough to be counted in March instead of April. This accounts for about $298 of the $2,131 I earned in March.

Here are my other online income reports to-date:

February 2015 – $1,534

January 2015 – $596

December 2014 – $1,503.50

November 2014 – $753

October 2014 – $1,080

September 2014 – $581

August 2014 – $280

July 2014 – $285

For kicks and giggles I decided to average my monthly income for the 9 months I’ve been freelancing. Even with the smaller months at the very beginning, my average month freelance income (gross) is $971.50.

Did you make any online income in March?

  • Awesome job! I may contact you at some point to ask how you got started, if that’s alright? Good luck with April, I’m sure you’ll smash your target!

  • Thank you for sharing your monthly income! I’m still a newbie, and I love reading how people make money online. I don’t know much about being a VA/Blog management, but I find it really fascinating. Good luck in April!!

    • I didn’t know anything about it until I got started with it, but I really like it.

  • Wow! Well done!
I don’t think I’ll ever make money on my blog, but I’ve always been told to “never say never”…
    Congrats on a successful March!

    • I don’t make much off my actual blog, most of it comes from working for others. But I am trying to increase the amount I make via my own blog a little bit as it’s more of a passive income and requires less work (for the most part as I just have to keep doing the things I’m doing anyway, like posting regularly, etc.)
