This monthly income report is proof that it is possible to earn money online! This was after only four months of freelancing full time! Now that it’s November, I’ve officially been freelancing online for 4 full months. I’m still thankful every day that I got started on this amazing adventure. I’m loving my work. Getting to express myself through writing is much fun, and the opportunity to learn new skills that can potentially help me make money directly through my blog in the future is awesome! Plus, I get to do all these tasks from the comfort of my living room couch with my jammies on. Can’t beat that! 🙂

October brought new challenges and opportunities. Some work expanded, while other sources slowed down. I got a few one-off writing gigs just by paying attention to the blogs I read regularly. Some bloggers make off-handed comments about being swamped or possibly needing to hire help to allow them to expand in the future. Then, the key is to strike while the iron is hot!

I also did a little more cold emailing too. This is how I got one of my newest writing jobs at Wise Dollar! I’m really excited about the opportunity to work with John on his site and the possibilities it might open up in the future too. (Hint! Hint!) 🙂

I don’t know that I’m looking to expand my PF writing opportunities right now, but I am looking to write for sites in other topic areas. Plus, I’d really like to find a couple new blog management and VA gigs. If you are looking to hire, or know someone who is, please send them my way!

My online income for October 2014: $1,080!

I’m amazed by that amount! To be honest, I never add it up until I get ready to do this report, and that shocked me!! I smashed my goal of $550 and in fact, I nearly doubled it.

I’ve also been asked by a few readers to do a breakdown of my online income, so here ya go:

VA Services – $400

Writing – $600

Other – $80

In light of this amazing month, I’m setting my November goal at $700. I know, I know. This might be too low, but I like to be somewhat conservative. Especially since some of my income came in earlier this month than usual. Normally this would’ve gone toward next month’s goal, but instead it was counted toward October.

As always, I don’t count my online income until the month it gets deposited into my account, so this is from some work at the end of September through about mid-October. I have made some more since then, but it will be included on my next report since it didn’t hit my account until November 1st (or later).

Remember, that my online income has not yet been taxed, which means that about 30% of what I make is going to be taken by Uncle Sam, and another (small) portion of my income will be used for expenses, like internet, computer repairs, and Paypal fees. I’m also saving some of my income to be used for FINCON15!

While I’m enjoying my online work, I’m certainly no pro at blogging or at making money online, but if I can get started you can too! If you have any questions about how to get started blogging, freelancing, or about my online income don’t hesitate to contact me! I promise that I will do my best to answer your questions and if I can’t I will point you to someone who can!

Here are my other online income reports to-date:

September 2014 – $581

August 2014 – $280

July 2014 – $285
